Purpose of the Study:

  • To present a comprehensive overview of the sonographic features of Budd-Chiari syndrome.
  • To highlight the diagnostic utility of ultrasound in identifying BCS.
  • To correlate sonographic findings with the underlying pathophysiology.

Main Methods:

  • Ultrasound examinations utilizing curvilinear (2-5 MHz) and linear (5-12 MHz) transducers.
  • Color and spectral Doppler sonography performed in all patients.
