Objective:
On contrast-enhanced sonography, second-generation contrast media have shown a spleen-specific uptake of the microbubble contrast agent. To date, there is little data about the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced sonography in perisplenic lesions.
Conclusion:
In patients with a perisplenic tumor of unknown cause, contrast-enhanced sonography enables the diagnosis or exclusion of accessory spleens.
