Human splenic dendritic cells react differently to bacterial and allogeneic antigens

Bacterial products strongly activate splenic dendritic cells (DCs) and Toll-like receptors (TLRs), while allogeneic antigens show weak stimulation. This indicates TLRs primarily recognize conserved microbial patterns, not MHC differences in vitro.
