Summary

Ankylosing spondylitis outcome measures have advanced clinical trials. TNF-alpha blockers show high efficacy, while conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs are ineffective for axial spondyloarthritis.

Background:

  • Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a prevalent inflammatory rheumatic disease and a prototype of Spondyloarthropathies (SpA).
