Type 2 diabetes management should include postprandial glucose (PPG) monitoring, as it significantly impacts glycemic load and cardiovascular risk. Targeting PPG improves control and reduces atherosclerosis progression, offering better outcomes than relying solely on fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and HbA1c.
