PPH03 stapled hemorrhoidopexy: our experience.

Summary

Stapled hemorrhoidopexy with the new PPH03 stapler is a safe and effective treatment for hemorrhoidal disease. This minimally invasive procedure offers rapid recovery and few complications for patients.

Background:

Hemorrhoidal disease is a common condition requiring effective treatment.
Stapled hemorrhoidopexy is an established surgical option.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the clinical experience with the new PPH03 Proximate HCS hemorrhoidal circular stapler.
Assess the safety, efficacy, and complication rates of this new device.

Main Methods:

Retrospective review of 238 patients undergoing stapled hemorrhoidopexy.
Follow-up for a median of 3.5 weeks to analyze symptoms and complications.

Main Results:

The PPH03 stapler facilitated a mean surgery duration of 12.7 minutes.
Most patients were treated ambulatory and discharged within 6 hours.

Only 3.7% of patients reported minor postoperative complaints.

Conclusions:

Stapled hemorrhoidopexy using the PPH03 stapler is safe, effective, and short.
The procedure is suitable for ambulatory settings with minimal complications.
