Abstract:
Liver resection today is univocally considered to be a method of treatment of both primary and secondary liver tumours, particularly as it achieves the best long-term results in comparison to other available treatment, such as mini-invasive procedures (radio-frequency, laser, microwave ablation or cryotherapy) or locoregional or systemic chemotherapy (Fig. 8).
