Magnetic resonance imaging for patients with permanent pacemakers: initial clinical experience

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be safely performed in patients with selected permanent pacemakers. Careful monitoring and device programming ensure patient safety and diagnostic image quality, challenging previous contraindications.
