Summary

In rheumatoid arthritis (RA), malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were elevated, but total oxidative status and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity did not confirm increased oxidative stress. Further research is needed to understand the complex role of oxidative reactions in RA.
