Summary

Surgical sutures can trigger inflammatory reactions, leading to hypertrophic lichen planus in rare cases. This study highlights a novel association between granulomatous reactions and lichenoid lesions post-surgery.

Background:

  • This represents the first reported instance of lichenoid lesions developing after surgical procedures with granulomatous reactions.
