Summary

This review found no long-term trials assessing Nicobrevin for smoking cessation. Therefore, there is currently no evidence to support Nicobrevin as an effective aid for quitting smoking.

Background:

Nicobrevin is a proprietary smoking cessation aid.
It contains quinine, menthyl valerate, camphor, and eucalyptus oil.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy of Nicobrevin in achieving long-term smoking cessation.

Main Methods:

Searched the Cochrane Tobacco Addiction Group trials register.
Included randomized trials comparing Nicobrevin to placebo or alternative controls with at least six months follow-up.

Main Results:

No trials met the inclusion criteria, specifically lacking long-term follow-up data.

Conclusions:

Insufficient evidence exists from long-term trials to support Nicobrevin's effectiveness in smoking cessation.
