Background:

  • Ameloblastoma is a benign, locally invasive tumor with a high recurrence rate.
  • Limited comprehensive genetic studies exist regarding ameloblastoma tumorigenesis.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To identify genes implicated in the development and progression of ameloblastoma.
  • To elucidate the genetic underpinnings of ameloblastoma through large-scale gene expression profiling.

  • Microarray analysis was performed on RNA extracted from ameloblastoma and dentigerous cyst specimens.
