Secondary amines react with nitrous acid to form N-nitrosamines, as depicted in Figure 1. Summary

Neonatal readmissions within two weeks of discharge are often due to jaundice or suspected sepsis. Shorter nursery stays, exclusive breastfeeding, and higher bilirubin levels at discharge are significant risk factors for readmission.
