Abstract:
Numerous considerations are involved in the coverage of a tennis event, much like other sporting competitions. Appropriate equipment within a tournament format is examined. The simultaneous play of multiple tennis matches requires rapid access to injured players and is facilitated by good communication. Medical time-outs present a unique challenge, and awareness of these rules is essential in providing care. Common musculoskeletal injuries specific to tennis are reviewed. With the potential for high temperatures and dehydration during tennis matches, heat illness is also considered.
