Abstract:
In this note we present the development of a dual-probe laser interferometer that uses the filtering properties of a polarized beamsplitter to enable two independent (uncoupled) detection probes. The robustness of this system is demonstrated by making broadband, noncontact, high fidelity measurements of Lamb waves in an aluminum plate.
