Summary

Peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in myopic individuals did not correlate with refractive error or axial length. These RNFL measurements may help monitor glaucoma in myopia.

  • To investigate the relationship between peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and myopia.

  • A prospective observational study included 132 young males with myopia.
  • Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was used to measure peripapillary RNFL thickness across different scan diameters.
