  • Erectile dysfunction significantly impacts quality of life for affected individuals.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To review the existing literature on the use of sildenafil for treating erectile dysfunction in patients on dialysis.
  • To assess the safety and efficacy of sildenafil in this specific patient group.

Main Methods:

  • A comprehensive literature search was conducted to identify relevant studies.
  • Studies focusing on sildenafil's use in dialysis patients were analyzed.

Main Results:

  • Sildenafil has emerged as a revolutionary treatment for erectile dysfunction.
  • Available literature suggests sildenafil is both safe and effective for dialysis patients experiencing sexual dysfunction.

Conclusions:

  • Sildenafil represents a viable and effective therapeutic option for managing erectile dysfunction in patients with renal failure on dialysis.
  • Further research may explore long-term outcomes and optimal dosing strategies.
