Narcolepsy in children can signal brain issues. This study highlights two cases where severe narcolepsy-cataplexy appeared with obesity and precocious puberty in children.

Understanding the diverse causes of pediatric narcolepsy is crucial for accurate diagnosis and management.

Observation:

Two pediatric cases of severe narcolepsy-cataplexy are presented.
These cases emerged in close temporal association with the onset of obesity and precocious puberty.

Findings:

The co-occurrence of narcolepsy-cataplexy with obesity and precocious puberty suggests a potential link between these conditions in children.
This association may indicate an underlying shared pathophysiology or a complex interplay of factors.

Implications:

These findings warrant further investigation into the relationship between narcolepsy, obesity, and puberty disorders in pediatric populations.
