Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can diagnose unsuspected deep venous thrombosis (DVT) presenting as muscle edema. Careful review of MRI scans is crucial for identifying intramuscular venous thrombosis, even when clinical suspicion for DVT is absent.
