Summary

Oxidative stress, driven by reactive oxygen species (ROS), plays a key role in cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and atherosclerosis. Targeting the NAD(P)H oxidase system offers potential for new antioxidant therapies to prevent and treat CVD.
