[Method of spleen resection]

A model of hemostatic device was proposed for performing atypical resections of the spleen and a method of bloodless resection of the spleen parenchyma. The method was tested in experiments in 77 dogs and in 4 patients with good results. The method allows performing atypical bloodless resections of the spleen at any level. The application of this device makes the operative technique of atypical resections of the spleen more simple.
