Aged refuse from landfills effectively biofilters sewage, significantly reducing chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N). This cost-effective biological treatment utilizes the microbial decomposition capabilities of aged refuse.
