[Applications of electron paramagnetic resonance to the study of biological molecules]

In a first part, an elementary theoretical introduction to ESR is given. In a second part, selected examples illustrate the possibilities of this method. Studies of hemoproteins, flavoproteins, model complexes and phospholipid systems are described. This review is made for biochemists who have no experience in ESR.
