Low birth weight is not associated with thyroid autoimmunity: a population-based twin study

Low birth weight does not appear to cause thyroid autoimmunity in adults. This study found no link between birth weight and thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb) or thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAb).
