Background:

  • Müllerianosis is defined as ectopic lesions comprising two or three types of müllerian-derived glands.
  • Spinal cord involvement by müllerianosis is exceptionally rare.

Observation:

  • A 42-year-old woman presented with a three-year history of catamenial lumbago and sciatica.
  • Laminectomy of L2-L3 revealed a polypoid mass compressing nerve trunks.

Findings:

  • Histological examination of the excised mass showed a mixture of endocervical, endometrial, and tubal glands within a smooth muscle nodule.
  • These findings confirmed the diagnosis of spinal cord müllerianosis.

Implications:

  • This case highlights an unusual presentation of müllerianosis.
