Aspergillus fumigatus in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients can cause respiratory issues beyond allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA). Antifungal treatment improved patients not responding to antibiotics, suggesting A fumigatus as a direct pathogen.
