    • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of puerarin injection in treating unstable angina.
    • To compare puerarin injection with conventional Western medicine and placebo.

    • A systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was conducted.
    • Searches included major electronic databases and hand-searched Chinese journals from 1995 to 2004.
    • Twenty trials involving 1240 adults with unstable angina were included.
