The Vascular Join (VJ) device offers a faster, more physiological method for vascular repair compared to traditional sutures. This sutureless anastomosis technique demonstrated superior long-term efficacy in sheep carotid arteries.

    • Histology revealed minimal myointimal hyperplasia (50 ± 10 µm) with VJ versus significant hyperplasia (300 ± 27 µm) with sutures.

    Conclusions:

    • The VJ device facilitates a physiological edge-to-edge vascular repair.
    • VJ device offers superior results compared to traditional suture techniques in sheep carotid arteries.
    • This study provides evidence for the efficacy of sutureless vascular anastomosis devices.
