Summary

Total allograft-prosthesis composite arthroplasty offers an excellent solution for severe elbow bone loss. This technique successfully treated a posttraumatic floating elbow case with no complications at 75 months.

Total allograft-prosthesis composite arthroplasty is an emerging alternative for complex elbow reconstruction.

Observation:

A rare case of posttraumatic floating elbow with extensive bone and joint loss was treated.
The treatment utilized a total allograft-prosthesis composite arthroplasty technique.
The patient presented with significant bone and joint deficit requiring advanced reconstructive methods.

Findings:

Excellent clinical outcomes were achieved at 75 months post-surgery, with a Mayo Clinic performance score of 100/100.
