Abstract:
This is an experience report that aimed to stimulate the sensitiveness of a nursing team towards their self care and to develop on the working environment actions to promote it. The theoretical framework adopted followed the assumptions of Watson. The subjects were two nursing teams who work in intensive care unities in which different activities were made such as extreching, dynamics and relaxing activities. It obtained a positive answer from the groups which experienced the feeling of been taken care of and valued and could know themselves better and practice some actions of care towards their self. In this way, the performed actions and interactions could stimulate and propitiate the self care inside and outside of the working environment and could also make them aware to the importance of this kind of care in their working practices.
