Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the predictive validity and reliability of the CCNCS.
  • To assess the results of using the CCNCS for workload measurement.
  • To determine public health nurses' satisfaction with the CCNCS.

  • A convenience sample of 29 public health nurses participated.
  • The CCNCS was used to classify 1352 clients over a 2-week period.

  • Elderly and child health clients consumed the most nursing time (direct and indirect).
  • Predictive validity was confirmed: higher needs correlated with increased nursing time.

  • Further research with larger sample sizes is recommended to establish the reliability of the modified CCNCS.
