Summary

Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA)-G alleles with a 14-bp polymorphism were more frequent in sarcoidosis patients. However, HLA-G expression in granulomas was rare, suggesting further research is needed to understand HLA-G’s role in sarcoidosis.
