Summary

Grayanotoxin intoxication from "mad honey" causes cardiovascular issues like hypotension and bradycardia. Most patients recover within hours, but severe cases may require pacemakers.

Observation:

  • This case series details eight patients (6 women, 2 men, aged 35-75) presenting with grayanotoxin intoxication.
  • All patients exhibited hypotension; cardiac arrhythmias included sinus bradycardia (4), nodal rhythm (3), and complete atrioventricular block (AVB) (1).

Findings:

  • Cardiovascular parameters (heart rate, blood pressure) normalized within 2-6 hours in most patients, excluding the one with complete AVB.
