Abstract:
Prevention of low back pain involves action from both the healthcare system and the occupational system. These systems are essentially diverse and optimum solution of the problem relies on collaboration. The focus of this paper is on the occupational system, where summarised documentation--in spite of scientific uncertainty--in general supports the occupational health actions taken in Denmark. Furthermore, the paper points towards increased physically active lifestyle as a preventive action.
