Changes of brain activity in the aged SAMP mouse

Aging central nervous system (CNS) in senescence-accelerated-prone mice (SAMP8) shows no increased neuronal death but a larger activated brain area with age. This suggests functional brain changes occur without cell loss in aging SAMP8 mice.
