Abstract:
Improving compliance with printed information in hypertensive patients has already been proved possible by previous studies. The "Hypertensive Patient Booklet" was devised in co-operation between Hoechst Laboratories and the French Cardiology Federation. This booklet is composed of simple and attractive information followed by charts for clinical and laboratory follow-up. The "Hypertensive Patient Booklet" is meant to strengthen the relationship between doctor and patient and to improve compliance which is low in about 50 p. 100 of patients with arterial hypertension.
