Summary

Fluvoxamine effectively reduced panic attacks and avoidance behavior in patients with panic disorder. However, ritanserin, a serotonin (5-HT) receptor antagonist, showed no significant effect, suggesting specific serotonin pathways are involved in panic disorder.
