Multifocal choroidal hyperfluorescence, a sign of choroidal vascular hyperpermeability, is more common in polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) than in age-related macular degeneration (AMD). This finding suggests hyperpermeability may be a risk factor for PCV.
