Antithrombotic treatment for peripheral arterial disease

Aspirin is generally recommended for preventing vascular events in peripheral arterial disease (PAD) patients due to its favorable risk-benefit profile. However, alternative antithrombotic agents may be considered in specific clinical scenarios.
