Colchicine induced neuromyopathy in a patient with normal renal function.

Colchicine can cause muscle weakness and elevated creatine phosphokinase (CPK) levels, a condition known as neuromyopathy. This side effect may occur even with normal kidney function and is reversible upon drug discontinuation.
