In Vivo Inhibition of MicroRNA to Decrease Tumor Growth in Mice

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small RNAs regulating genes. This study shows that inhibiting miR-21, a microRNA overexpressed in breast tumors, suppressed tumor growth and increased apoptosis, suggesting miR-21 is an oncogene and potential therapeutic target.
