[Speaking of mental health : what illness?]

To talk of mental health in the work milieu is to talk about: illness, productivity problems, absenteism... It appears as though it is not the work itself that is the cause of fatigue, but the social life, the extra-curricular activities. At work, to face a crisis, one has to be motivated, competitive, adaptable to all changes. Those who cannot take the pace have to be released to seek help outside so as not to upset the work scene. Even though mental illness is the source of serious problems when it affects production, it is not a real preoccupation in the work setting and it does not belong firmly in the definition of health security.
