Summary

Fibroblasts grew from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) in systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients with alveolitis, especially those with high eosinophils. This suggests eosinophil-fibroblast interactions may contribute to lung fibrosis in SSc.
