Summary

Colorectal carcinoma frequently involves peritumoral lymph nodes, but non-peritumoral lymph node metastasis occurs in 15.7% of cases, impacting tumor staging and prognosis. The number of metastatic lymph nodes correlates with tumor behavior markers.
