Shortcut synthesis of beta-cyclomannin from beta-cyclodextrin

A new cyclic oligosaccharide, beta-cyclomannin, was synthesized and shows high water solubility for drug formulation. This novel compound also exhibits strong binding capabilities for various guest molecules.
