Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the effects of cyclic meditation (CM) on cognitive processes.
  • To compare the neurophysiological changes induced by CM with those of supine rest.
  • To examine alterations in P300 auditory event-related potentials (ERPs) following CM practice.

Main Methods:

  • Forty-two healthy volunteers participated in a study comparing CM and supine rest.
  • P300 auditory event-related potentials (ERPs) were measured at Fz, Cz, and Pz electrode sites before and after each condition.
  • Intervention order was counterbalanced, with sessions conducted on separate days.
