[Historical considerations on preventive medicine]

Efforts in order to prevent disease have been made at all times. Attempts in prevention, however, were different from one cultural region to another. In recent times prevention of disease has increased thanks to multiple research results. Thus the doctor is more often consulted in order to receive a preventive examination. At present the health status of many german children is rather frightening. Increasingly diseases of the adult are already seen in children. Prevention here is most important.
