  • Correlated augmentation height with the calculated bone augmentation volume.

    • Achieving a 12 mm sinus floor height required a mean augmentation of 7.2 mm, while 17 mm needed 12.4 mm.
    • The calculated augmentation volume was 1.7 cm³ for 12 mm and 3.6 cm³ for 17 mm.
    • A 5 mm increase in augmentation height (12 to 17 mm) doubled the required augmentation volume (100% increase). A significant correlation (r=0.78, P<.01) was found between augmentation height and volume.
