Polyphenols from Polygala spp. and their antioxidant activity

Two new phenol derivatives, alpestrin and alpestriose A, were isolated from Polygala alpestris. Their antioxidant activities were evaluated using the Briggs-Rauscher oscillating reaction, revealing structure-activity relationships.
