Summary

Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) pre-application drops significantly reduced corneal staining in soft contact lens wearers using polyhexanide multipurpose solutions (MPSs). This finding suggests CMC can neutralize disinfectants, offering a new method to prevent MPS-related eye staining.
